A meeting with the Polce and Crime Commissioner Angus Macpherson will take place on Monday 6th November 7pm at The John Bentley School

Calne Town Council asked the Police & Crime Commissioner to arrange a Public Meeting to address concerns raised by local residents and town councillors about future policing in Calne.

Extract from Town Council Meeting 26th September

It was proposed by Cllr Boaler and seconded by Cllr Thorn and

UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED to request that the Police & Crime Commissioner & Chief Constable arrange a public meeting in Calne to discuss future policing. The use of John Bentley School as the meeting venue was suggested.

A number of petitions have been circulated in Calne around the future of Calne Police station and over 600 people have signed a petition on for a meeting to be held. This an opportunity for local residents to hold the PCC to account.

The Town Council agreed to promote and collect questions ahead of the meeting.
