Renewable Energy Prize

Calne Renewable Energy Group has been busy talking to almost 50 residents about their knowledge of, and feelings about, renewable technologies. Participants could win a Faye’s Bistro voucher, won by Lora and Harry (pictured with Councillor Canfer). The outcomes of this consultation have been collated into a report.


Restoration Project Funded

Calne Town Council is pleased to announce that following amendments to the Section 106 agreement relating to the Station Road development, Hills Homes Developments has enabled funding to be available to effect the reinstatement of the historic wall in Castelfields Canal and River Park.

Safe Places Launch at Calne Summer Festival

The National scheme designates locations as recognisable SAFE PLACES that will provide a safe environment for vulnerable  people  or anyone who might find themselves needing help or support whilst out and about the town. Click here to find out more about the scheme and which shops and businesses are already signed up.
