Santa's Reindeer

After last year's warm welcome by the town to Snowflake and Blitzen, we are delighted to announce the Reindeer are back again this year to capture children's hearts.

Bjorn the Polar Bear

NEW for 2014 Bjorn the Polar Bear!  Bjorn is a life size and incredibly life like adult male Polar Bear. Playful, mischievous and huggable.

The show actually involves REAL science & has been performed at events such as BT Young Scientist of the Year, Cambridge Science Week, W5 Science Centre & World Oceans Day at Galway Aquarium.

Santa's Grotto

We recieved an email from Santa's chief elf to confirm that Santa has decided to spend a little more time in Calne this year to make sure he gets to see as many children as he can!

Town Centre Events

Market stalls, food and drink, gifts and craft stalls, local groups and charities. Carol singing will greet you whilst the crowds increase in anticipation of the Lantern Parade.


Lantern Parade

Last years record breaking 500 lanterns looks set to be beaten with over 600 lanterns this year as the parade sets off from Bremhill View and marches down Lickhill Road.

Christmas Lights Switch On

The town's Christmas lights switch on will be a time full of cheer, twinkling lights, fireworks, and singing.

Road Closures for the Winter Festival.

FREE parking is availabel all day on the 29th Nov at the Church Street car park in Calne.

The A4 will be closed from 4pm-6pm between the Curzon Street roundabout and Station Road roundabout therefore no cars will be able to enter or exit Church Street car park during those hours on the 29th. Buses will still be running however during 4pm-6pm they will not be picking up from The Strand/Town Hall, they will pick up at the bus stop outside the Town Gardens on the A4. Church Street will also be closed from 2pm – 8pm
