Grants and Donations
Calne Town Council support many community groups with grants and donations and are keen to work in partnerships that will benefit the local community.
Grant applications are considered at each meeting of the Policy & Resources Committee, click here to find the date of the next meeting. Applications must be received no later than 8 working days prior to the meeting of this committee.

The following three awards are given by the Town Mayor each year.
This year's awards were presented during the Annual Parish Meeting, held on Friday 18th March at the Town Hall, Calne. Nominations are now open for next year's awards. To make a nomination, download a form by clicking here or collect a form from Calne Visitor & Community Information Centre.
Town Mayor's Gift Fund
Each year the Town Mayor awards a grant of £250 to a young person who has demonstrated outstanding ability and who would benefit from financial assistance to help them progress in their chosen sport or art. The award is open to all young people living in Calne aged 11 to 18.
Awarded to Ebony Bevan to recognise her talents and achievements in the sport of Kick Boxing including being awarded a Gold Medal in the European Championships.
Town Mayor's Civic Award
This award was proposed by Cllr C J Viner when he was Town Mayor during 2006/07, as an annual award for an individual/couple to be recognised for their hard work and endeavours in our community.
Although only one award is usually presented each year, this year, JR Dawson, Kevin Wells and Andrew Marshall were all given the award. JR Dawson in recognition of his many and varied services to the Community of Calne. Kevin Wells and Andrew Marshall in recognition of their voluntary work for Calne Leisure Centre.
Young Citizens Award
The Young Citizens Award recognises the actions undertaken by a young person or a group of young people that has had a positive, sustainable impact on the town or its community. The award is open to all young people living in Calne aged 11 to 17.
Awarded to Rebecca Green, Beth Wheeler, Jordan Holt and Joe Provis (who unfortunately couldn't attend to accept his award) in recognition of their contribution to the Local Youth Network Group. This group are dedicated and passionate about identifying local needs, priorities and outcomes by funding positive activities for young people in the town.
