Calne Summer Festival & Carnival
Saturday 24th June 2017

Awards Ceremony

This year, as a celebration of the excellent floats and walkers that took part in the carnival, we hosted the very first awards ceremony in the Council Chamber. First, second and third places in both the walking recession and floats were invited to come down to receive their certificates, trophies and prizes. The awards were presented by the town mayor, Tony Trotman, and acting Town Clerk, Jeannette Young. Priestley School, Sunny Days Nursey, Heddington Preschool, 4 Stars Dance and Calne Evangelical Church, all recieved awards with great enthusiasm and excitement. The awards ceremony will be an annual event, and we look forward to seeing the floats and walkers next year!

Always an action-packed day for all the family, this annual event fills Calne town centre with free activities, performances and street stalls. The day culminates with crowds lining the streets to enjoy the carnival procession of street walkers, entertainers and floats decorated by local schools and groups.
Free entry to all activities!

Parking: free parking at Calne Heritage Quarter car park accessed from the A4, where you can also enjoy Calne's historic steets, Heritage Centre and independent shops.
