In 2017, as a celebration of the excellent floats and walkers that took part in the carnival, we hosted the very first awards ceremony in the Council Chamber. First, second and third places in both the walking recession and floats were invited to come down to receive their certificates, trophies and prizes. The awards were presented by the town mayor, Tony Trotman, and acting Town Clerk, Jeannette Young. Priestley School, Sunny Days Nursey, Heddington Preschool, 4 Stars Dance and Calne Evangelical Church, all recieved awards with great enthusiasm and excitement. The awards ceremony will be an annual event, and we look forward to seeing the floats and walkers in 2018!
The closing date for entries for the Summer Festvial and Carnival was Friday 15th June 2018.
