Calne Town Council own and manage two allotments sites in the town.
Allotments have seen an increase in popularity in recent years, as people of all ages become more interested in leisure gardening and producing their own food.
This site provides 94 plots of varying sizes to cater for the differing needs of leisure gardeners.
There is a range of plot sizes available to cater for a wide section of the community from the novice to keen, experienced gardeners. There is also a selection of raised beds for elderly and disabled persons.
The site is located off Beversbrook Road. It has a members building with toilet and kitchenette facilities.
Opened in 2005, the Newcroft Allotment site provides 26 allotment plots, each with its own shed. Centrally located this site is within easy walking distance of the town centre.
